Terms & Conditions

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using Siren (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the App.

These Terms apply globally and should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Privacy & Security Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to access or use the App.

  • You represent and warrant that you are legally permitted to use the App under the laws of your jurisdiction.

  • We reserve the right to request proof of age or identity at any time and may suspend or terminate your account if such proof is not provided or is found to be invalid.

  • We make no representation that the App is lawful, appropriate, or available in every jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws before accessing or using the App.

2. Services Provided

  • The App provides communication services, including encrypted messaging and related security features.

  • The App is provided strictly on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

  • We do not warrant that:

    • the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;

    • defects will be corrected; or

    • the App will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

3. Account Registration and Security

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted through your account, whether authorized or unauthorized.

  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.

  • We shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials or comply with this section.

  • We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend, deactivate, terminate, or delete accounts containing false, misleading, incomplete, or outdated information, without prior notice or liability.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or court order;

  • Transmit, store, or share content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or infringing;

  • Engage in fraud, impersonation, phishing, spamming, or deceptive practices;

  • Distribute malware, viruses, or any harmful code;

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users;

  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s integrity, security, or performance.

5. Prohibited Technical Activities

You shall not:

  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the App;

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except where expressly permitted by applicable law;

  • Use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the App without authorization.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and legal action where applicable.

6. User Content

  • You retain ownership of any content you submit, transmit, or store through the App (“User Content”).

  • You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process such User Content solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving the App, and complying with legal obligations.

  • You represent that you have all necessary rights and permissions to share User Content and that such content does not violate any law or third-party rights.

7. Intermediary Status & Content Moderation

Where applicable, we act as an intermediary or service provider under relevant laws. We do not proactively monitor User Content but reserve the right to:

  • Remove, restrict, block, or disable access to any content;

  • Suspend or terminate accounts;

  • Report content or user information to authorities,

where required to comply with applicable laws, legal orders, or governmental requests.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including software, design, trademarks, logos, and content (excluding User Content), are owned by or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use our intellectual property except as expressly permitted.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if:

  • you violate these Terms;

  • required by law or legal authority; or

  • continued use poses legal, security, or operational risk.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability shall be limited to the amount paid by you (if any) for use of the App in the preceding 12 months.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

Unless otherwise required by mandatory local law, these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and courts located therein shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, where permitted by law.
